Bharatendu Harishchandra Book Prize is an initiative of Cherry Book Awards to celebrate and felicitate writing talent across the world. It is dedicated to the Father of Hindi/Indian Literature, Bharatendu Harishchandra.
Who is Trina Kanungo?
Trina Kanungo is a post graduate in Mathematics and Computing from IIT Dhanbad. Currently working as Assistant Manager in Ecgc Ltd under the ministry of Commerce, in Mumbai, Trina is an ardent lover of Indian folk art and Literature. She is an intense fitness freak and has earned an honorary doctorate from Grace Ladies Global Academy in Yoga and Meditation. She has co authored more than 20 anthologies in English and Bengali Literature. Being a sincere follower of Tagore and Dr. Kalam, Trina yearns to see the unseen in this beautiful world through her simplicity and creativity.
When asked why she deserved to win the Bharatendu Harishchandra Book Prize, Trina Kanungo said, “Every award is a matter of sole inspiration for a new poet like me. And getting an award with the name of the Stalwart of Bharatendu Harishchandra would be a matter of immense positivity for newcomers like me.”
