Campus to Capability Conclave 2026 Marks the Inaugural of Gyann India’s Defence & Aerospace Flagship Programme

Hyderabad, February 27, 2026: In a significant step toward strengthening India’s strategic manufacturing ecosystem, Campus to Capability Conclave 2026  Bridging Industry and Academia in Defence & Aerospace was successfully convened in Hyderabad, marking the formal inaugural of Gyann India’s flagship Defence & Aerospace Management Programme.


Organised by Gyann India in association with the Institute of Engineers (India), Telangana State Centre, the conclave brought together senior policymakers, eminent industrialists, leading academicians, and students from across Telangana in a unified call to address one of the most pressing challenges in the sector the widening gap between industry expectations and academic preparedness.


The event witnessed the distinguished presence of Senior IAS Officer Shri Vikas Raj, Chief secretary R&B, Government of Telangana, Dr. S.V.S. Narayana Murthy, CMD, MIDHANI, Padma Shri Dr. G. Chandramouli, along with senior officers from both State and Central Government departments. Their participation underscored the strategic importance of building capacity in Defence and Aerospace as India advances toward self-reliance and global competitiveness.
The highlight of the conclave was the unveiling of the official brochure of Gyann India’s flagship Defence & Aerospace Management Programme by the dignitaries a structured initiative aimed at aligning campus learning with real-world industrial capability.


Addressing the gathering, Shri Vikas Raj, IAS, emphasised that Telangana is poised to become a leading hub in aerospace and defence manufacturing, and that structured industry academia alignment will be critical to achieving the vision of Telangana’s long-term industrial growth.


Dr. S.V.S. Narayana Murthy, CMD, Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI), highlighted the importance of deep technical competency, disciplined execution, and systems thinking in mission-critical industries, stressing that future engineers must be prepared not only academically but operationally.


Dr. Sai Pavan Kumar B.V.D.S., Founder & Director of Gyann India, remarked that the conclave was not merely an event but a movement toward transforming “education into execution,” reinforcing the need for structured bridges between classrooms and complex industrial ecosystems.


Mr. Noel Reddy Challa, Director,  Gyann India, spoke about the responsibility of institutions and industry to jointly build scalable capability, ensuring that India’s expanding private participation in defence manufacturing is supported by skilled, industry-ready talent.


Dr. B. Ramana Naik, Chairman,  Institute of Engineers (India), Telangana State Centre, reaffirmed IE(I)’s commitment to fostering professional excellence and strengthening academic–industry dialogue in strategic sectors.


The conclave saw participation from senior leadership across India’s defence and aerospace ecosystem, including the Vice President of Defence & Aerospace, Adani Group, Director of Red Balloon, and Senior leadership from MTAR Technologies, VEM Technologies, Aditya Precitech, Nucon Aerospace, Skyroot Aerospace, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Apollo Microsystems, and several other prominent industry players.


From academia, the event was attended by the Vice Chancellor of Amity University Hyderabad, Vice Chancellors from Osmania University and JNTU, the Chairman of the Telangana Higher Education Council, along with academic leaders, Training & Placement Officers, and students from multiple engineering and management institutions across Telangana.


Throughout the discussions, speakers consistently highlighted the urgent need to close the structural gap between curriculum delivery and industrial execution,  particularly as the Government of India accelerates privatisation, encourages private sector participation, and promotes indigenous manufacturing in strategic sectors.


The Campus to Capability Conclave served as a powerful platform to initiate structured dialogue, inspire collaboration, and establish a roadmap for preparing engineers and managers who are ready to contribute meaningfully to India’s defence and aerospace ambitions.


With strong institutional backing, industry engagement, and policy presence, the inaugural of Gyann India signals a new chapter in aligning academic ecosystems with national capability-building priorities.
