A Dedication to my father – Shishira Srinivasa

About Father’s Day and what is so special about it?

This Day is celebrated on different dates in various countries of the world. However, in countries like India, USA, UK, Japan, Ireland, Bangladesh, Pakistan and others, the Father’s Day is observed on Third Sunday of the June which falls on 19th June for the year 2022.

The importance of a father can’t be neglected or ignored at all. He is like a superhero who is always ready to take on everyday troubles for his children. The significance of a father is beyond words as he is the person who works tirelessly to fulfil the requirements of his family. To honour the contribution of all such fathers and fatherly figures and to celebrate the paternal bonding, a special day is observed every year as Father’s Day.

Everyone has their way of celebrating Father’s Day. Many people go out on this day to eat good food. On this day, children give gifts to their father, offer them greetings, and give them cards and flowers.

Mother’s sacrifice is given a high position in every civilization and culture. However, the person who dedicates his whole life for the happiness of his children and his family should also get the same respect as the mother. The way we celebrate Mother’s Day in honor of a Mother, similarly Father’s Day is celebrated to honor Father’s love.

This day is celebrated to express gratitude to the father. The father is the person who pays all his duty without expressing his grief and pain. After mother, if someone is very close to our heart, it is our father. The father’s love does not look like that of the mother, but it is the father who makes us strong from inside. Our father gives us a lesson about good and bad in the world. We do not need to worry about anything as long our father’s hand is on our forehead. They always keep grief to themselves and give us happiness. We should never forget our father’s struggles. We should always celebrate the sacrifice of father’s and give them respect.

In a child’s life, the role of a father is irreplaceable.

By honoring fathers on Father’s Day, we not only celebrate fatherhood, but also the significant impact and role that fathers play in their children’s lives. We celebrate the power, safety, and sacrifice that come with fatherhood, as well as every other aspect of it. Not only on this special day, but every day, we should wake up with a deep sense of gratitude to our fathers for providing us with the life we have, lavishing love and gifts on us, protecting us from harm, and being our leader and support system.

My father has always been and will always remain constant in my life, supporting me in my good and bad times, and guiding me to the right path. He has always encouraged me in all my endeavours, and taking care of my needs.

Fathers are less likely to express their love and feelings but father’s Day provides us with a chance to let our fathers apprehend that we know how much they love and care for us. Father’s Day is a Day in the calendar when children gift their fathers a special thing, love. But what about the rest days of the year. Don’t we love our father those days? Of course, we do. But Father’s Day holds a special significance for the children.

Our identity is connected to our fathers. But every father always wants to get identified through their children’s names. Fathers are the source of inspiration, motivation and passion. Additionally, they assist us in tough situations and display the right direction.

While growing up, every little child needs a superhero in their lives. A superhero is one person who is a role model for them. The first superhero that every child comes across in their life is a father. A father is that symbol of strength that binds the entire family together. The person who first comes to our mind whenever we are stuck in any problem is the father only, which makes the father a very pivotal element of the society and the pillar on which many rely.

My father is a normal person for the rest of the world but through my eyes, he is my superhero. He always protects me from every evil and danger. Moreover, he always teaches me good habits and always encourages me in every field that make me confident and have a strong personality. He is the one who watches a movie for the hundredth time with me without ever complaining !!! I share lot of happy memories with my father since my childhood and I can happily say I was lucky enough to spend my childhood with both my parents and could get their love and attention and all the pampering that’s needed.

I definitely think my father is a superhero; he is just a normal person with all superhero qualities. He was by my side at all times. It didn’t matter what time of day or night it was; he was always there to help me, support me. In addition, I am inspired by his ethic, the way he manages his work, his office, never ever saying No to whatever I have asked for and overall demeanour.

He is the one who puts all his energy to keep me happy. My every need and requirement get to an end before I ask my father. I always think to be like my father. In other words, a superhero. Father’s Day is a day of my superhero and this is just a small tribute to him and not to forget all the super fathers in the world definitely deserves lot of applause and appreciation.

Conclusion

To sum it up, By celebrating Father’s Day, we not only honour fatherhood but also celebrate strength, security, and sacrifice. Every day should be a father’s day. No matter if every day is not father’s day we can still show our gratitude to them every day.

By celebrating Father’s Day, we not only celebrate fatherhood but also their indispensable impact and role in our lives. We celebrate strength, security, sacrifice and every single aspect of fatherhood that comes with it. Not only on this special day but every day we should wake up in the morning with immense gratitude towards our fathers for providing us with the life that we are living, for showering us with love and presents, for protecting us against all evils and for being our guide and support system.
