Remember the time by Subham Chandra

Remember the time when I was bored with food?
And I remember that you’d feed me, telling stories of getting me the moon.
Remember the time that I’d get angry with people?
And I remember you’d entertain me, by acting like a toon.
Remember the time that I was hurt and felt all that pain?
More than the antiseptic,  your “ମା ର ଗାଳି ”  took the pain away in a swoon.
Remember the time that you were leaving me at Koraput for my medical college.
While we did  false promises of these years will go by soon,
I was left saddened, feeling like a loon.

All my fears leave me when you give me the confidence that I need,
But What I fear the most always is leaving you know that I need you the most.
Heaven today is but to a place I call home,
And all of that is just incomplete without you, mom.
And in that hopes do I remember the time that I promised myself to always keep moving forward.
