VATSA is a Poet, Writer and Filmmaker. VATSA received the Best Director award for his short film “I Witness” at MISFF in 2016. Additionally, Vatsa has been nominated thrice in Indian Television Academy Awards (ITA) for best Editor award. Vatsa’s writing repertoire includes “Rooh” & “Inshaa” books containing his poems, and “Sankhanaad” a novel based on the life of ‘Aghori’.

VATSA’s poems touch like a soul that has nothing to do with this conventional life and therefore they are like a breeze of peace. His writing blurs the line between an author and an audience as he says in his book “Rooh”

-VATSA (Rooh)

His father is a poet and a painter. In VATSA’s own words

“due to some reason my father wanted me to stay away from the field of art. Due to the forbidden nature of art in my home, I as a rebellious teenager grew more attracted towards art and poetry. I started going through my father’s books and notes, and soon enough, I learnt Urdu. When I look back now, I realise that my father’s influence was always there motivating me to cultivate love for words”

The beauty of Vatsa’s poems is further enhanced by his voice. Gentleness and simplicity which are part of his personality is reflected in his writings and he continues to bring his poems through social media where thousands of people listen to him every day.

These are few poetries by Vatsa

-VATSA (Rooh)

Khatam Ho Raha tha

-VATSA (Inshaa)
