Varanasi: At an age when many are still exploring their career paths, Mousumi Acharya, a 29-year-old literary entrepreneur from the sacred city of Varanasi (Banaras), has carved a remarkable place for herself in India’s publishing industry. As an accomplished author, compiler, publisher, and entrepreneur, she has become a source of inspiration for hundreds of aspiring writers across the country.

Born and brought up in the spiritual capital of India, Mousumi proudly calls herself a daughter of Banaras—the City of Ghats. The city’s timeless culture, spirituality, and heritage continue to shape her vision and values. She believes Banaras is more than her hometown; it is the foundation of her creativity, resilience, and purpose.

A graduate in B.Sc. (Mathematics) from Sunbeam College for Women, Bhagwanpur, Varanasi, Mousumi chose to follow her passion for literature over conventional career paths. Her literary journey has been both diverse and impactful. She is the author of three solo books in which Tu mera Nahi is her first novel,which has gained significant appreciation and popularity among readers for its heartfelt emotions and relatable storytelling.
She has served as the compiler of more than 30 books, and has collaborated as a co-author in over 80+ books, working with writers from different genres and backgrounds.

In 2021, she founded Pink Lotus Publication House with a mission to create an honest, transparent, and author-friendly publishing platform. What began as a dream has grown into a respected publishing house that has successfully published more than 550 book titles, helping new and established authors transform their manuscripts into published works.

Mousumi has consistently represented her publication house at the World Book Fair, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, for the last four consecutive years, taking the voices of independent authors to one of India’s most prestigious literary platforms.

Her growing contribution to the literary world has also earned her distinguished recognition. She was invited as the Chief Guest at the book publication ceremony of a professor from the Department of Social Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), reflecting the respect she has earned within academic and literary circles.

Further strengthening her association with literary culture, Mousumi Acharya has also served as the Brand Ambassador of the Banaras Literature Festival – “Hunar Ke Sartaj,” held at the prestigious Taj Ganges, Varanasi, where she actively promoted literature, creativity, and emerging talent.

Despite these achievements, Mousumi remains deeply humble. She attributes her success to the unconditional support of her family, the blessings of her elders, and the grace of God. She believes that no accomplishment is possible without faith, gratitude, and the people who stand beside us through every step of the journey.
