PanIIT Alumni India Elects Dr Amitabh Ranjan as Vice Chairman, Rajeev Singh as General Secretary

New Delhi, July 12: PanIIT Alumni India, the apex body representing alumni of all 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), has elected Dr Amitabh Ranjan as Vice Chairman and Rajeev Singh as General Secretary for its 2026–28 Executive Council.

The appointments strengthen the organisation’s leadership, which represents a global network of over five lakh IIT alumni across India and international chapters in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Korea, Singapore, and Australia.

Dr Ranjan, currently Registrar at the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), New Delhi, is a petroleum engineering graduate with extensive experience in public administration. During his tenure with the Government of Uttar Pradesh, he played a key role in the digitisation of the state’s Transport Department through the Vahan and Sarathi digital platforms, now widely used across India. He has also been an active contributor to PanIIT’s flagship summits, focusing on governance, public policy, energy, and climate.

Rajeev Singh, Chief General Manager at Engineers India Limited, has been closely associated with PanIIT Alumni India for several years. He has contributed significantly to the organisation’s major initiatives, events, and alumni engagement programmes, and is expected to further strengthen collaboration across the IIT alumni network in his new role.

Welcoming the appointments, Chairman Prabhat Kumar said the new office-bearers bring valuable leadership and experience that will help advance alumni collaboration, thought leadership, and nation-building initiatives.

Through its nationwide and international network, it promotes collaboration, innovation, entrepreneurship, education, and public policy initiatives while leveraging the IIT community’s expertise for societal and national development.
