Chandigarh, May 30: The Agro Chem Federation of India (ACFI) organised an awareness and interaction programme for agri dealers and distributors from Punjab and Haryana to promote sustainable and scientific farming practices.

The programme, themed “Strengthening Dealer Industry Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture,” focused on responsible agrochemical use, farmer awareness, product stewardship, prevention of counterfeit products, and safe agricultural practices.

Addressing the gathering, ACFI Director General Kalyan Goswami said agri dealers play a crucial role in guiding farmers towards the scientific and judicious use of agrochemicals. He stressed the need to build farmer trust, address misinformation surrounding pesticide usage, and strengthen collaboration between industry stakeholders and distribution networks.

The event brought together dealers, distributors, retailers, field advisors, and sales professionals from across the agricultural sector. Participants pledged to support the safe, responsible, and scientific use of agrochemicals while promoting agricultural sustainability and farmer welfare.

Industry experts, including representatives from Indogulf Cropsciences Ltd., Bharat Certis Agrisciences Ltd., and the Agri Inputs Dealers Association of Punjab, also highlighted the importance of sustainable agriculture and the role of dealers in educating farmers on responsible agrochemical practices.
