The six months long Expo 2020 in Dubai has nearly attracted 17 million visitors from across the world, has been started six months ago on October 1, 2021. It has the representation of more than 200 countries with their respective pavilions that not just showcases business ventures and opportunities but has spectacular shows of architectural marvels, ecology, cuisine, and culture.
With marquees belonging to multilateral organizations, businesses, and educational institutions there are country-specific pavilions and the Indian Pavilion is one of the most attractive with over 1500000+ visitors from all across the world, the Indian Pavillion is showcasing the enormous glory, heritage, and tech advancements to the world. As a part of the Start-up India Initiative selected start-ups in the key priority sectors of fintech, AI, cybersecurity, health, and tech-enabled platforms are allowed to showcase their innovative products and services at the India Innovation Hub, India Pavillion which is four-storied and one of the largest at the Expo that has been designed to showcase the nation’s 75th anniversary of Independence.
One of India’s top innovators and shortlisted start-ups out of 200 Indian start-ups is Botosynthesis which is from a tier-3 city of Udaipur that has got the opportunity to network with its peers and key stakeholders at Expo 2020 Dubai. Botosynthesis is one of the leading Chatbots and Artificial Intelligence Companies of India. It had showcased its business ideas and innovations and got selected as a part of the DPIIT Delegation to travel to Dubai Expo 2020 on a sponsored trip. They showcased their services at India Innovation Hub from 7th to 10th March. Followed by the showcase the start-up was invited to visit one of the leading incubators of U.A.E. called IN5. At IN5 they learned about legalities and the possibility of starting and expanding a venture in the middle-east region.

They further stated that they were also invited to the Dubai Technology Entrepreneur Campus for Pitching with Panache Session. Here, they met prominent start-ups from Dubai and also learned the fundamentals of pitching the idea in front of investors. On the 11th of March, Botosynthesis was invited to Elevate Pitching event which was held at Taj Business Bay Dubai. At the pitching, they pitched their idea along with 29 other start-ups with 20+ participating investors. Their idea of building an integrated virtual avatar platform was appreciated by most of the investors and they are into further talks with the team.
As per the report by the American Institute of Architects, the India Pavilion has made its mark among the 192 participating nations by being recognised as one of the most iconic pavilions at EXPO2020 Dubai providing a conducive business environment and collaboration platform for like-minded individuals. As a matter of fact, India ranks first in the top 50 countries in the Global Innovation Index (GII) and is the fifth most start-up-friendly country in the world, leading in Asia. Despite the severe challenges posed by the global pandemic, more than 40 new unicorns have emerged in India, and as an innovation hub it stands at the world’s third-largest start-up ecosystem bringing the total number of unicorns to 85 together with many new start-ups and Botosynthesis is one of them. Even the Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi has also called the Start-ups, the backbone of New India.
