New Delhi, August 10, 2026: More than 500 school and college students from across India came together at Maharaja Agrasen College, University of Delhi, on August 8 and 9 for the Swami Vivekananda National Conclave 2026, a two-day national platform dedicated to dialogue, debate and solution-oriented discussions on issues affecting India and the world.
Organised by the YUVAK Foundation, the youth wing affiliated with Bharat Vikas Parishad, the conclave was powered by IRCTC as part of its youth-focused initiative and conducted under the guidance of Shri Suresh Jain Ji, National Organising Secretary, Bharat Vikas Parishad.
The conclave featured two major initiatives—Delhi Model United Nations (MUN) and Shastrarth National Dialogue—giving young participants an opportunity to deliberate on contemporary challenges and present practical solutions. Discussions covered a wide range of subjects, including reforms in the education system, women’s rights, gender-neutral laws and the need for stronger and more effective policies for India’s youth.
The opening ceremony was attended by Shri Rangan Trivedi Ji, author of Amrit Kaal Odyssey and National Convener, YUVAK Foundation; Shri Om Jha Ji, National Convener, YUVAK Foundation; Ms. Sania Balhara, Delhi Coordinator, YUVAK Foundation; representatives of IRCTC and other dignitaries. The proceedings were led by Secretary General Lakshmi Rao Cairae, who welcomed participants from across the country.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Rangan Trivedi Ji spoke about India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat and emphasised the crucial role of young Indians in the country’s development. Shri Om Jha Ji highlighted the importance of creating stronger channels between youth and government institutions, enabling young citizens to contribute ideas and participate meaningfully in governance and policymaking.
The two-day event encouraged participants not merely to identify challenges but also to develop actionable solutions that could potentially be taken forward to relevant institutions and authorities.
The closing ceremony featured Shri Raj Bhushan Choudhary Ji, Minister of State for Jal Shakti, Government of India, as the Chief Guest, along with Shri Manoj Kumar Ji, Director, Catering, IRCTC; Prof. Sanjeev Tiwari, Principal, Maharaja Agrasen College, University of Delhi; Ms. Sania Balhara, and other representatives of the YUVAK Foundation. The guests were welcomed by Mr. Harsh Malhotra.
Shri Raj Bhushan Choudhary Ji highlighted the government’s efforts to create greater opportunities for India’s youth and reflected on Swami Vivekananda’s vision of youth power. Shri Manoj Kumar Ji spoke about the transformation of Indian Railways and IRCTC’s role in passenger services, noting that IRCTC serves more than 16 lakh meals every day.
Prof. Sanjeev Tiwari urged young participants to remain informed, connected and focused on real issues, while Shri Om Jha Ji reiterated the importance of meaningful and solution-oriented youth participation.
The concluding session also witnessed the distribution of prizes to winners across various committees. Participants were further informed about opportunities for internships across different sectors, enabling them to gain practical exposure beyond the conclave.
With the support of Sahil Babbar, YUVAK Representative, the event was successfully coordinated and formally concluded with a vote of thanks by Secretary General Lakshmi Rao Cairae.
The Swami Vivekananda National Conclave 2026 ultimately emerged as a significant youth platform, reinforcing the message that young Indians are not merely the future of the nation but active stakeholders in building a stronger and more developed India—Viksit Bharat.
