Meet Dr. Sai Kaustuv Dasgupta, a 90% differently-abled youth from Andhra Pradesh popularly known as the Wheelchair Warrior of India. By profession, he is an International Graphic Designer, Global Motivational TEDx Speaker, and India’s first differently-abled Certified Happiness Coach. By passion, he is a singer, entrepreneur, author, Guinness, Limca, India, 15+ World Record holder, Inclusion & Diversity Champion, Goodwill Ambassador & founder of a virtual platform called Happiness Unlimited.

Having a rare Brittle Bone Disease called Osteogenesis Imperfecta and going through more than 50 fractures, Dr. Sai Kaustuv Dasgupta, a 90% differently-abled youth from India is soaring high through his immense willpower. He is popularly known as the Wheelchair Warrior of India. He has a severe hearing impairment and is confined to an electric wheelchair 24×7. Despite having a brittle bone diseased body, he did not let his career be fragile. By profession, he is an International Graphic Designer, Motivational, TEDx Speaker, and India’s first differently-abled Certified Happiness Coach. By passion, he is a singer, composer, entrepreneur, author, Guinness, Limca, India, 15+ World Record holder, Inclusion & Diversity Champion, and founder of a virtual platform called Happiness Unlimited.

After coming out of a long period of depression, Dr. Sai decided to uplift millions to find happiness and hope in adversity through motivational talks. He raises awareness about issues affecting the quality of life, lack of government policies. Sai has participated in and contributed to the Mental Health Program at Harvard Medical School. Through his Happiness Coaching, Dr. Sai has inspired millions of people, especially, global leaders, scholars, doctors, students, corporate people & young IT professionals with Live & Online webinars in various institutes like Microsoft, Accenture, Novartis, Marriott Hotels, Medicover, Rotary International, IndoUSrare, Project Management Institute, Jain University, etc. in different states of India, as well as those in countries like the US, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Nepal to name a few. He researched in the field of accessibility and hopes to bring positive awareness to transform India into a wheelchair-friendly country. He was appointed Goodwill Ambassador at Vivekananda World Peace Foundation for spreading mental wellbeing and world peace. Sai has also made an award-winning documentary film on his life, winning people’s hearts and love around the world. 

Being 90% differently-abled, he has been honored as the 4th Global Icon with disabled leadership traits after Helen Keller, Stephen Hawking & Srikanth Bolla. Dr. Sai also got selected in the D-30 Disability Impact List 2021 which honors the most impactful community members and by representing India, he has become a catalyst for continuing to advance disability inclusion, leadership, and diverse representation at the global level. His Virtual Community “Happiness Unlimited” strives to bring back the purity of heart and genuine happiness in society. Dr. Dasgupta shows us how there could be a million reasons to lament upon but choosing to accept them as a part of your life is the actual key to happiness and peace. Enduring difficulties and choosing positivity over all the negative aspects is what makes a person like him iconic.
