For the Munjal family, politics was never merely about positions or power—it was a legacy of service, values and leadership passed down through generations. The family’s association with public life began with Late Shri Diwan Chand Ji Munjal, grandfather of Purvi and Priyansh, who served as the Sarpanch of Barwala and was actively associated with the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD). He was widely respected for his selfless leadership, caring nature and unwavering commitment to the welfare of people. Known for always placing the greater good above personal interests and helping anyone in need without expecting anything in return, he became a source of inspiration not only for the community but also for his family.
Growing up in such an environment, Mr. Narender Munjal witnessed politics from close quarters. From a young age, he saw respected leaders, including Mr. Om Prakash Chautala, visiting his home and engaging in discussions centred around society, leadership and public welfare. These experiences instilled in him a deep respect for service, humility and leadership. The values of compassion, kindness and putting people first, which he saw in his father, Late Shri Diwan Chand Ji Munjal, naturally became a part of his own personality.

However, as political circumstances changed and the party underwent transitions and divisions, his faith in active politics was shaken. For some time, he chose to step back, carrying with him both the lessons and disappointments that often accompany public life.
Yet, the love for serving people and staying connected with society remained deeply rooted within him. Driven by the values inherited from his father and his own desire to contribute meaningfully, Mr. Narender Munjal eventually joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and went on to hold an important position within the party. For him, politics was never about titles—it was about connecting with people, understanding their concerns and serving society with sincerity.
For his children, Purvi and Priyansh, this journey represents much more than politics. It is the story of a man who inherited a legacy of public service, witnessed both admiration and disappointment, yet never allowed circumstances to diminish his belief in people and relationships.
The compassion, humility and spirit of service that Mr. Narender Munjal inherited from Late Shri Diwan Chand Ji Munjal continue to shape his journey even today. These very values form the soul of Hotel Elite, where every guest is welcomed not merely as a customer, but with warmth, respect and genuine care. In many ways, Hotel Elite is an extension of the values passed down through generations—a place where hospitality is rooted in humanity and where the legacy of service continues to live on.
This Father’s Day, Purvi and Priyansh dedicate this tribute not only to their father, Mr. Narender Munjal, but also to their beloved grandfather, Late Shri Diwan Chand Ji Munjal. One taught them the courage to dream again, and the other left behind a timeless legacy of selfless service and compassion. Through them, they have learned that the greatest inheritance is not wealth or position, but values, humanity and the ability to touch lives with kindness.
